In the Japanese soap opera, No Working After Hours! (わたし、定時で帰ります。), the lead, Yui Higashiyama, told her colleague on one occasion that “When you work, don’t just overwork to death. You must first learn to enjoy life, to meet people of different kinds, to broaden your horizons, and to build up all these experiences. Eventually, you will do your works right.” We bring up this remark as we find it in great alignment with Machien Industry’s management philosophy. We hope we’ll always carry with us the faith to put humanity first.
At Machien Industry, we value each individual worker and see him/her as our family member. Apart from their work performances, we care even more about their physical and mental wellbeing. Furthermore, we expect to grow and strive together with them. To support this aim, we encourage our working partners to take some time off for vacations. We also offer them healthcare insurances, health-related financial aids, and stipends for in-service programs. Recently, we’ve also made company outings more popular. We are currently planning on a comprehensive retirement system for our employees, hoping that they may be well taken care of even after they’ve retired from our enterprise.
Besides our colleagues at work, we are also striving toward the inclusion of their family members. We anticipate ourselves to engage these families in our worker support programs in which their families may be granted similar benefits in company outings, healthcare, and education. Please continue to pray for us, and even be our strongest allies in supporting these values.
Green Enterprise for Earth

Q: “How wasteful! This one looks perfectly well. Why are we throwing that away?”
A: “Yup! You see, there’s a tiny little dot here. It’s not really conspicuous even if you take a close look at it, but we just can’t give that to our customers. We promised to offer them the best products whenever we can. But don’t you worry, we won’t just throw them out or destroy them. We’re gonna make them useful in other ways. They’re still a precious gold indeed.”
At Machien Industry, we treasure every piece of shoelaces. From each greige yarn to a complete lace, these shoelaces and grosgrain tapes are like our babies. They are the collection and symbol of our hard works, commitment, and intellect. Moreover, we care about whether the business is friendly to our natural environment. Thus, instead of disposing these items, we normally send out these substandard products to the following communities for other smart applications:
- Local farmers (shoelaces used to bind plant roots)
- Event organizers (shoelaces used to set up lightings and stages)
- Campers (shoelaces used to build up camps and/or hammocks)
- School teachers (shoelaces used for classroom decoration, teaching, and club activities)

Did you know that the sneaker you are wearing now may possibly be the composite of water bottles? In 1990, a textile company in Taiwan developed a new material for making yarns and fabrics. Yes, it’s plastic (PET) bottles. This discovery has greatly altered the image of traditional manufacturing businesses ever since. People used to regard this industry as harmful for the environment. Yet, as the new technology set stage, the industry is becoming more eco-friendly than ever. Currently, Machien Industry. uses more than 50% of recycled materials in our manufacturing processes. We are also aiming for a greater use of green substances by using yarns made by glass wastes in compliment with the PET ones.
The world-famous sports brand, Nike, introduced a series of sports shoes produced from plastic and leather wastes, saving our Mother Earth from environmental hazards. Later in 2015, the internationally popular brand, Adidas, recycled fishing nets collected from the ocean and transformed them into a line of fashionable sneakers. These green acts increased the global awareness to protecting and preserving the environment. Seeing what these international enterprises have contributed, Machien Industry is dedicated to follow their footsteps in building a better world for all.

Jesus said in Matthew 22 (NIV), “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Then He goes on to say, “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” We believe that Machien Industry can grow to be what it is today is indeed a blessing from God. Mindful of this grace, we expect ourselves to be the blessing for people around us, including our family, friends, working partners, business counterparts, customers, and the society as a whole. We pray that we’ll always remember to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Starting from 2009, we have committed ourselves to the donation campaign raised by the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation. The purpose of this movement is both to raise social awareness and to support the elderly in adapting to late adulthood. In addition, we’ve recently begun to engage in a blood donation campaign held by the local Lions Clubs International. Not only did we take part in this activity ourselves, we also encouraged our working partners to support this event. Participating in these social movements bit by bit, we hope we’ll be able to change the dynamics between different social groups in a positive light. Then, can all humanity come to work as an integrated whole.
